Fall 2025 Leadership Institute Class

Dates: Fridays, September 5 through November 21, 2025

Final Presentations will be delivered at the June 2026 PENC Summer Conference (June 11-13, 2026 in Wrightsville Beach, NC)

Limited to 16 attendees!

Format: There will be 2 in-person sessions in Charlotte at the McAdams office. These will be on Friday, September 5 and Friday, November 21 from 8:30am-4:30pm. All other classes will be held virtually on Fridays from 8:30-11:30am.

Please be prepared with the following information for your application:

• Resume
• Brief statement of personal goals for the program
• List of any potential conflicts with class sessions
• Current leadership responsibilities (and work and other)
• Prior training in leadership and/or communication
• Responsibilities in your current role

KEY INFO

The PENC Leadership Institute is designed to help North Carolina’s engineers develop leadership skills, people skills, and communication skills. We are offering this training through in-person and online meetings.

• The Sep 5 & Nov 21 meetings are all day in-person classes in Charlotte, NC
  
• All other meetings are 3-hour online meetings on Fridays
  
• Post-work after each meeting involves applying a leadership skill at work and reporting the outcome.
  
• Private coaching calls are available on request
  
• A Culmination Project after the course is required. Options: (1) Teach colleagues three topics covered in this program or (2)
  
• Take on an instructor-approved leadership challenge.
  
• A Final Presentation (10 minutes) about your Culmination Project) will be delivered at the PENC Summer Conference in June 2026
• Application Deadline: August 30, 2025
