PENC Programs PENC members have several ways they can earn PDHs to renew their license, network, mentor, and receive accolades for their achievements, including: Awards: The PENC Achievement Awards recognize member engineers and outstanding engineering firms that have performed exceptional services for the public, the profession, and for the organization. Regional Seminars: Held in Raleigh, Wilmington, and Charlotte - event details will be posted in our calendar of events! Webinar Series: A monthly PDH webinar series. Runs on Wednesdays from Noon-1pm. Upcoming webinars are listed on the Events calendar. If you are interested in presenting a webinar, please contact us at [email protected]. Leadership Institute: Designed specifically for engineers, this program develops leadership skills like setting direction, delegating and dealing with conflict. Classes generally run September-December, with a final culmination project presentation at the annual summer conference. Substantial Damage Team: A group of volunteers that assist with substantial damage estimates following a flooding event. Volunteers are pre-trained in FEMA software. North Carolina Women in Engineering Conference: A collaborative effort with volunteers from PENC, SWE-Charlotte Metrolina Chapter and WTS Charlotte Metro Chapter.
