Program: ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code

Overview: The ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code is updated and reissued every two years. The current issue is Year 2021 that became mandatory as of January 1, 2022. This presentation will discuss the new code - including new mandatory items regarding what are the requirements and certifications needed for engineers and designers of boilers, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers.

Speaker: Milton Eshelman, PE - Mechanical Engineer - Milton is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Mechanical Power Engineering, prior to his retirement in late 2020, Milton worked as a project and design engineer on boilers, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers for 42 years.  Milton has been a licensed Professional Engineer since 1984 and is licensed in North Carolina, California, and Massachusetts.  For the first 18 years of his career Milton worked designing fluidized bed boiler equipment for a firm located in California.  In 1995 he moved to the Greenville, NC area started working for The Roberts Company in Winterville, NC.  At The Roberts Company, Milton oversaw the design of ASME boilers, pressure vessels and heat exchanges meeting the requirements of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Pressure that were fabricated by The Roberts Company.
