On October 12, 2022, PENC Past President Pam Townsend presented to the House Select Committee on Advancing Women in STEM. The goal of the presentation was to communicate the importance of engaging middle school students in engineering opportunities, and impress upon the committee that the Future City Competition can help foster interest in engineering and develop the workforce of the future.
PENC is seeking a recurring appropriation to the Educational Foundation for the Future City Competition. We will keep our members up to date as this progresses.
