A Philosophical Guide to Practical Ethics

Join us for a special luncheon on March 9, 2026, as we gather for a joint PENC and ASHRAE Chapter Meeting!

We are honored to welcome Dr. Heather Gert, Head of the Philosophy Department at UNCG, for an engaging presentation on ethics.

As of the 2024 license renewal, all North Carolina licensees must complete at least 1 PDH in Ethics or Rules of Professional Conduct.

Note: This presentation fulfills the Ethics/Rules of Professional Conduct PDH requirement for Professional Engineers licensed in North Carolina.

About the Presenter: Dr. Heather Gert
Dr. Heather Gert obtained her PhD from Brown University and is currently the Head of the Philosophy Department at UNCG. She works on topics in philosophy of mind and philosophy of language, and also teaches a lot of ethics. Dr. Gert is on the ethics committee for Cone Heath and PACE of the Triad.
