Update on “Waters of the United States” Regulations

When: 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM Thursday, January 25, 2024
Lunch meal served at 12:00 Noon

Where: PGV Conference Room, Main Terminal, 400 Airport Road, Greenville, NC

Cost: $20, includes Hamburger Bar from First Class Bistro


Note: New venue, in the PGV Conference Room, it’s in the Main Terminal, where you go to catch a flight, to the south of the ticket counter. Park as if you were taking a flight, free parking when you leave. Hamburger Bar Lunch with all the fixings including fries and baked beans.  Optional Hot Dog meal is available on as needed order at the meeting.

Take a deep plunge into the ever-changing world of the "Waters of the United States" ("WOTUS") regulations! Join Ward and Smith attorneys Dakota Lipscombe and Amy Wang at our ECC PENC meeting on January 25 as they unpack the intricate details of the 2023 Rule revision and the pivotal Sackett v. EPA decision. Gain valuable insights into the pre- and post-Sackett regulatory terrain and the emerging challenges for state law and regulation. Plus, discover practical strategies for navigating the ever-changing WOTUS definition.

Graduated from Wake Forest School of Law in 1996 and has practice in N.C. since 1996. Amy leads the Environmental practice at Ward and Smith helping clients navigate the complex environmental regulations of the coastal waters of North Carolina.

Dakota M.Lipscombe, Attorney with Ward and Smith, P.A., New Bern, NC
Graduated from UNC School of Law in 2022 and has practice in N.C. since that time. In his practice Dakota assists real estate owners, developers, and others with the complex issues of real estate transactions.
